Therapy Thatā€™s Right For
You & Your Family

Drawing on a range of experiences and training, I offer individual therapy services and parent coaching tailored to the unique needs and capacities of each person. Influenced by the healing elements of time outdoors and the understanding that all people are influenced by the interdependent and interrelated components of life, I start exactly where you find yourself and co-creates therapeutic plans that support healing and growth.

Relationship Focused Approach

I start with the clear understanding that the back bone of therapy is the client-therapist relationship. Not my training or experience, but how I make you feel. I then acknowledge the interconnectedness of life's challenges and encourage a clear mapping of the different spheres of your life. I draw on my long experience working with trauma and resilience, delving into the complex intersection of biology, psychology and your environment to better understand what you are working with.

Explore a couple of therapeutic modalities I use in my practice.

  • Narrative therapy views you as the experts in your own life. Change occurs by externalizing the problem(s) and creating a new narrative or story, which emphasizes your competencies and strengths. We will highlight the unique outcomes that occur when you focus on a different storyline than the one holding the source of your presenting problem(s).

  • I lean on the profound benefits of Eco Therapy, encouraging outdoor experiences during sessions. Some of the most impactful moments occur while admiring the sky or strolling through the woods, fostering deeper connections and growth for clients. Nature is free medicine, letā€™s use it.

  • Youth are more and more on their screens and on social media. Parents feel helpless and youth feel out of control and scared. How can we create loving boundaries for our children? How can youth reframe their identities outside the gaze of others and through the vibrant and real world around them? These are questions we can explore together through individual, family or group support sessions.

  • DBT is a type of behavioral therapy that aims to change behavioral, emotional, and cognitive patterns associated with dysfunction by helping you improve your emotional and cognitive regulation. Change happens through mindfulness, developing skills to manage distress tolerance and emotional regulation, and improving interpersonal problem solving skills.

What Sets Me Apart

  • As a non-clinical therapist, I bring a fresh and accessible approach to well-being. My goal is to create a space where individuals can feel comfortable, heard, and understood without the clinical labels that can be limiting. By de-specializing mental health your wealth of resources grows and becomes way more accessible. Especially since the best expert is you.

  • I have worked with young people my entire professional life- over 20 years! I build quick relationships with youth, enjoy their company and allow them to be seen and heard in a safe and connected environment.

  • Sometimes parents just need a little advice from someone who knows adolescents. Iā€™m a parent of a young child, and the help I get from experts to best support my son is invaluable. Adolescents is a turbulent and awesome phase. Book a 20 min consultation to learn more or if you know you need help feel free to book a full session.

Bilingual Services

I am available for services in Spanish. I am also still an active student as I continue to hone in on the therapeutic language needed to adequately explore themes that may arise in therapy. Please accept my humble apologies for my mistakes. Though I am still learning I am also making myself available for Spanish services due to the lack of Spanish speaking therapists in our region.
